Hyderabad: Saina who is the top seed and World No. 2 stumbled at the last obstacle in women’s single final of the China Open Super Series at Fuzhou on Sunday.

Saina who is the top seed and World No. 2 stumbled at the last obstacle in women’s single final of the China Open Super Series at Fuzhou on Sunday. After that, she lost to seventh seed and crown by Li Xuerui 12 – 21, 15 – 21 in the super series.

Previously, she gave inspired performance and expectations and now top seeded Indian Saina has not overcome the hard challenge from Xuerui. She showed a lot of courage and stamina and tried a lot to defeat a rival but yet didn’t get a victory against Chinese.

The final level has been finished only in just 39 minutes. Coach U Vimal Kumar added that Xuerui was strategically better, but Saina was played slowly. The 24 years old Chinese, earlier got 9-2 records against India before this match.

Vimal also said that Xuerui played fast and aggressively and she gave little much of time to Saina, and Saina was struggled to find the right length on her shots, and the first game finished only in 16 minutes, between them lot of variation appeared.

 “In second game Saina who has 25 years old started well and she took an 11 – 6 lead to comeback right position for getting the victory, but Xuerui was mentally very strong to defeat Saina,” said Vimal.

Finally, victory and loss of the game common to any player, Vimal said, “I feel happy with the way of performance of Saina, she much better as per my expectations and need to improve physically as well as mentally”.
