Mumbai, June 23: Bollywood star Salman Khan facing defamation case of Rs.250 crore lodged by Veer producer Vijay Galani.
Bollywood star Salman Khan facing legal troubles throughout this year. Earlier he faced the hit-and-run case then after black buck case now defamation case lodged by Veer movie producer Vijay Galani.
Vijay Galani who had produced the epic disaster Salman Khan’s Veer in 2010 year has spent his last three years life battling with super star. Finally the honourable court announced the judgement in a favour of Galani. Now the producer is demanding a staggering Rs.250 crore.
According to the details Salman Khan asked Galani to produce his movie Veer along with Sohail Khan, Subhash Ghai and Sajid Nadiawala. Anil Sharma was chosen to direct this lavish film.
As per the details of Galani, “I agreed to give Rs.10 crore for Salman for this movie, in his entire career he didn’t received this kind of amount. Moreover we agreed that, Salman would get Rs.15 crore if the move shows profits. Salman completed the film happily and we sold it to Eros entertainment. Salman, I and Eros agreed for tri-party agreement that the first overflow amount of Rs.15 crore would go to Salman Khan”.
He added that “but the movie was a flop, it didn’t make any profits. Later a letter was sent to me from Salman’s office to show the copy of agreement letter”. After receiving the letter from Salman producer approached the CINTAA, which was supported him.
Then Salman complained to Federation of Western India Cine Association, it issued a non-cooperation letter to producer which is totally invalid and baseless.
Producer is fighting with this issue from last 3 years; finally he exhausted and filled Rs.250 crore defamation case against the actor for mental torture, harassment and loss of face.
