Chennai: Actor Sasikumar is into the film making of Bala’s ‘Thaarai Thappatai’ and Vasantha Mani’s ‘Vetrivel’ at the same time, currently shooting is going on.

‘Thaarai Thappatai’ is highly expected movie as Director Bala helms the project. The movie was shot for more than a year and was wrapped up recently. But director Bala confessed that this film was wrapped up in 60 days.

The movie features Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. From Director Bala’s interview it was obvious that the movie was based on traditional ‘Karagaatam’ dance. Isaignani Ilayaraja has scored music. This is also Ilayaraja’s land mark movie.

Chezhiyan handles cinematography and Jayamohan who penned dialogues for ‘Naan Kadavul’ has penned the dialogues. Studio 9 company R.K.Suresh is doing role of antagonist. The movie was wrapped up last week and the movie has now entered the post-production phase. We already reported that Varalaxmi has started the dubbing works.

On other hand, Sasikumar has started his next project ‘Vetrivel’ and this will be directed by debutante Vasantha Mani. This movie is also a rural family drama. The full fledged shooting will start from next week and the team has planned to complete the entire movie at one schedule. Most of the movie will be shot in rural areas of Tanjore and Pudhukottai. Right now Sasikumar is busy in dubbing works of ‘Thaara Thappatai’. He is spotted at Gemini Film Circuit.
