SBI to hire 2000 POs and 5000 Clerks  – The Managing Director of SBI, Rajnish Kumar said, “We will hire about 2,000 probationary officers and remaining are clerks. We are going to add 700 more branches this financial year to take the total to beyond 17,000 branches.”

State Bank of India is an Indian multinational, Public Sector banking and financial services company. The bank is a government-owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharastra. SBI is one of the Big Four banks of India along with Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank and ICICI Bank.

Every year the bank will recruit candidates for various posts like PO, Clerk and other posts. The recruitment notification will release as and when there is a requirement. The candidates will be selected based on the process of the screening test. A candidate who clears all the rounds of recruitment process will be recruited for the respective posts.

About 100 new branches had already been set up this year so far and the remaining would be started in the next few months. As the bank expanded its branches across the country, the bank has decided to recruit the candidates for the posts of Probationary Officers and Clerks for this financial year. PO and Clerk official notification has yet to be released, conversely, the candidates who wish to apply for these posts can prepare as the notification will release soon by the bank.  At last we are advising to all the candidates to check the recruitment details once the official notification releases and apply for the recruitment.
