New Delhi, June 19: Supreme Court has given some more time CBSE to conduct the AIPMT 2015 re-examination and directed the board to announce results by 17th August, 2015.
Supreme Court ordered the Central Board of Secondary Examination, to re-conduct the All India Pre Medical Test 2015 due to the allegation of paper leakage before the examination. Investigation regarding the allegation is still in process; all the beneficiaries have not been identified yet.
On 15th June Supreme Court took the decision against declaring the result and ordered the CBSE board to conduct re-examination with four weeks of time, but it is impossible to re-conduct examination within four weeks.
Following this CBSE has hold the meeting to discuss about the date and venues of examination, however they have again approached the Supreme Court and applied for plea by seeking more time to re-conduct AIPMT exam. The vacation Bench including Justices RK Agrawal and Amitava Roy agreed to hear the petition on 19 June.
CBSE asked the SC for four months of time for re-examination, but the court disallowed it and directed the board to complete the total examination process including with results by August 17th, 2015.
Around 6.3 lakh students had appeared for the AIPMT 2015 examination for this year, and all are anxious about their future. Out of these only 2,000 will get an admission in various medical and dental colleges across India.
