Chennai: Selvaraghavan directed and Simbu starring Kaan movie is shelved and the director tweeted that this project will be started after the finances are restructured.

Simbu right now has all the spot light. He supports Sarathkumar and pokes his nose in Nadigar Sangam elections. The actor recently completed shooting of ‘Aachcham Enbathu Madamayada’ under Gautam Menon direction was shooting for ‘Kaan’ under Selvaraghavan direction.

The movie was progressing at decent pace without any hiccups. Catherine Tresa was doing female lead. Gitanjali Selvaraghavan and Siddharth Rao produced the movie together on behalf of Glo Studios. Taapsee is doing role of a cop for the first time in this movie.

But all of a sudden there was a buzz that the project is shelved and Simhu’s lethargicness was the reason. To put a stop to all rumors, Selvaraghavan took Twitter to clarify things. He posted a string of tweets, which reads as, “I have been hearing a lot of rumors about Kaan. I just want to clarify certain things.

Kaan as a script is very close to my heart and is also an ambitious project the team and I want to do justice to our vision. The team and I have taken a mutual call to temporary put the project on hold. It’s great to know that we all share the same vision. We will resume the project next year once we have restructured the finances. In the meantime I will miss working with Simbu and the crew.”
