Chennai: Director P.Vasu’s son Shakthi Vasudevan in a press meet said that actor Karthi has slightly pot-belly in Police character of Siruthai Tamil movie.

Director P.Vasu’s son Shakthi has acted in few movies and none of his films tasted success. So far he never has an average movie to his name. He has changed his name according to numerology and is now making a comeback with the movie ‘Tharkappu’.

The Audio launch of this took place at Kamala Cinemas and Mysskin’s speech was attractive yesterday at meet. Now the lead actor Shakthi who spoke created some ripples by speaking against Ajith and Karthi. He said,

“Usually when it comes to cop role everyone expects to tone the body and have six packs. My movie director also said me to do the same. I got scared and said that I will give my best. I worked a lot hard to tone my body and my neighbours, well-wishers praised my efforts, I was happy.

In Tamil cinema, right from ‘Thanga Pathakkam’ Sivaji to ‘Vaalter Vetrivel’ Sathyaraj you can see cops as rigid and upright. But only two actors acted as cop without minding their physique. One is Ajith and another is Karthi. In ‘Siruthai’ you can clearly see pot-belly for Karthi. That is real, people too accepted the movie.”
