Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research and Secretary, Department of Health Research invited applications for STS.  Applications are invited from interested undergraduate MBBS students to participate in the Short Term Studentship 2016 Program (STS 2016).

The Indian Council of Medical Research started the Short Term Studentship Program in 1979. The main purpose of this program is to offer an opportunity to undergraduate medical students.  With this program, students can make aware themselves with research methodology. This program was expected that t students may give out as an encouragement for them to do research as a career in the future.

Eligible aspirants are required to register for STS 2016 in online. The online application form is available in the ICMR website. To submit the application form, first you need to register on ICMR website ONLINE by 10th January 2016. After registering submit the application form and proposal online latest by 25th January 2016 (Monday) which will be evaluated by the Council. Shortlist listed candidates names will be displayed in the website. Selected student has to complete the project in any two given months between April and September 2016. The last date to submit the project is 17th October 2016 (Monday). If the project is approved then candidates can do research with all facilities provided by the institute.
