Singer Shreya Ghoshal completed first song recording for Deepika’s upcoming magnum opus Padmavati directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Shreya Ghoshal is an established singer and has been ruling the Bollywood industry for about 14 years. She started her Bollywood career in 2002 with SLB’s Devdas and made an impact in the industry by winning numerous National and Filmfare awards among others.

As per source, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not a man to waste his time. A couple of days after officially confirming Deepika Padukone playing the titular role in his upcoming film Padmavati, the filmmaker has gone and got the first song of the film recorded by none other than Shreya. She took to Twitter to share the news of recording a “landmark song” of her career from one of the “outstanding” compositions by Bhansali. Can’t wait to listen to it! The film will reportedly star Bhansali’s favourite pair Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Padmavati is based on the life of ruler Alauddin Khilji. The ruler’s obsessive love for Padmavati who was the queen of Chittor will be depicted.
