Kolkata, June 23: The successor of Mother Teresa, Sister Nirmala Joshi passed away on Tuesday today, June 23. She headed the Missionaries of Charity and died at the age of 81.
Sister Nirmala Joshi, who succeeded Mother Teresa died today, Tuesday at the age of 81. Reports said that the lady headed Missionaries of Charity after Mother Teresa’s death that took place in the year 1997. With her complete capacity and capability took care of everything related to Charity works.
Today, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Saddened at the passing of Sister Nirmala who headed Missionaries of Charity after Mother Teresa. Kolkata and the world will miss her”. This is really sad news to listen that we are missing one more diamond in the field of charity helping to poor.
She is now 81 and expired, as gratitude, Sister Nirmala Joshi’s dead body will be buried at Mother House on Wednesday morning. Officials said that the funeral will take place at 4 PM in the evening. All the people who are interested to see the lady can go to that place for visioning funeral things that takes place.
“Anyone who wants to pay respect can come to Mother House tomorrow”, the official said. CM tweeted regarding this sad news. In career, Sister Nirmala was selected the Superior General of the Missionaries of Charity on March 13, 1997. This took place before six months of Mother Teresa’s death. In the month of April, 2009, Sister Mary Prema is elected to succeed Sister Nirmala.
