New Delhi, July 15: Skill India Campaign has been launched today on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day in order to promote entrepreneurs among youth of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially launched Skill India Campaign which is aimed to initiates various developing skills and encouraging entrepreneurship among youth. Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana which is created to provide skilled man powered with the help of vocational, technical and skill development education.
This Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana mission includes redesigned Model Skill Loan Scheme, new national policy for skill development and skilled card for persons who certified under this scheme. Modi formally launched all these programmes at a mega event the world youth skills day on 15th July, 2015 i.e. today.
This Skill India Campaign is launched under National Skill development mission, with a target to provide training for 24 lakh youth over the next year and trained candidates will also be awarded with incentives. The launch of Skill India Campaign is significant to achieve success in skilling with speed, scale and standard across country.
The new National Policy for skill Development Policy is the country’s first integrated national policy, recently approved by union cabinet and it is used for developing skills and for promoting entrepreneurship at a large scale.
