Candidates those who applied for this exam have to check the exam or paper pattern. In this exam, various posts include i.e Posts under Pay Band – II, I, Statistical Investigator Grade – II and Complier. Check the below-given exam pattern and syllabus according to post wise.
SSC CGL 2016 Exam Pattern is given in 3 tiers as indicated below:
Tier – I: Written examination (Objective multiple choice type)
Tier – II: Written examination (Objective multiple choice type)
Tier- III: Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document verification.
SSC CGL 2016 Exam /Paper Pattern and Syllabus For:
Posts under Pay Band – II (Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,900) and For Posts under Pay Band – I (Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200)
Tier – I Examination:
General Awareness: 50 marks.
Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks.
English Comprehension: 50 marks.
General Intelligence Reasoning: 50 marks.
The exam will be held for the duration of 2 hours and for VH & candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy can attend the exam in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Tier – II Examination:
Quantitative Abilities: This section consists of 100 questions and will carry a total of 200 marks.
English Language & Comprehension: This section consists of 100 questions and will carry a total of 200 marks.
Tier III Proficiency/Skill Test Examination:
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT will be held for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS only). / Data Entry Skill Test at Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour for post of Tax Assistant.
For Assistant Audit Officer (Group ‘B’) Gazetted, Statistical Investigator Grade – II and Complier posts, the paper pattern will be same as above posts Except Tier 3. For this post, the Tier III will not be included.
NOTE: For each wrong answer in Tier – I exam there will be ¼ of negative marking. In Tier – II, there will be negative marking of 1/4 marks in Paper – II and 1/2 marks in Paper – I and Paper – III for each wrong answer.
