Educational qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised college or University is compulsory. However some posts require special qualification.
Age limit:
The age limit is in between 20-30 for most of the posts. For a few posts the age limit is in between 18-27. Contenders can check the official notification to know the age limit of each post.
SSC CGL 2017 Application Fees:
The application fees is 100/-. All the women and reserved candidates are exempted.
SSC CGL 2017 pay scale:
SSC CGL Salary = Basic Pay (Pay Band) + Grade Pay + DA + HRA + Other Allowances
Group B: 9300-34800 salary + 4200-5400 grade pay
Group C: 5200-20200 salary + 1800-2800 grade pay
SSC CGL 2017 Exam Pattern
There will be tier 1,2,3,4 exams. The Staff Selection Commission adapted the following pattern.

Each question carries 2 marks and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Besides, there will be descriptive paper in tier 3 exam. The descriptive paper is bilingual. Candidates can choose from either Hindi/English in descriptive paper.
