New Delhi: The Supreme Court has ordered the Centre to go for fresh testing of Maggi Noodles manufactured by Nestle. This comes after Maggi was banned in India for almost 3 months before it was lifted after successfully passing all tests.
The current plea filed by FSSAI in the court orders for a fresh test on Maggi Noodles. The court also seeks a response from the manufacturer Nestle and the Maharashtra government. The apex court will hear to Nestle India’s plea on Wednesday.
The plea filed by FSSAI is against the ban lifted by the Bombay High Court on selling nine variants of Maggi in India after the ban was lifted. Now the Supreme Court again ruled Nestle to go for fresh testing.
The apex court fixed the hearing plea on 13 January.
