Chennai: Surya Kavasam is the new title for Tamil version of the movie Akhil – Power of Jua. After marked as flop in Tollywood, Sri Thenandal Films bagged the rights.

‘Akhil Power of Jua’ is a socio-fantasy flick directed by V V Vinayak. The movie featured debutantes Akkineni Akhil and Sayesha Saigal in lead roles. Actor Nithin and his father Sudakar Reddy produced the movie on behalf of Sri Sresht Movie banner.

Mani Sharma handled the background score. Kona Venkat took care of movie dialogues. The movie got lots of negative reviews and it was labeled as flop in Telugu version.  Tamil version rights are already bagged by Sri Thenandal Films. The Tamil version is titled as ‘Surya Kavasam’.

With respect to few edits, the Tamil version is censored as ‘U’. Technical team comprises of Gautam Raju for cuts and Amol Rathod for cinematography. The Tamil version was delayed due to unknown reasons. Right now the rains have stopped release of other Tamil movies.

So the movie is planning to use this space and make the maximum. The team is right now making all amendments with respect to release. Watch out this space for more updates.
