Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starring Tamasha movie has broken out Aishwarya Rai’s Jazbaa movie and has got 14.54 Crores on whole.
‘Tamasha’ is a recent romantic comedy release in Bollywood. The movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali and it is funded by Sajid Nadiadwala. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone essayed lead roles. The movie got released yesterday and it had an occupancy of 40%.
The movie is all about the character ‘Ved’ who loses his life due to society’s stereotype conventions. A.R.Rahman has scored the tunes and the songs are the back bone of the movie. Despite mixed response the movie has managed to make some good collections.
Now the first day collections have been revealed and it has broken the records of Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Jazbaa’. The domestic collections alone are revealed. The overseas numbers are yet to be figured in this. The first day collections reveal that the movie has collected Rs.10.87 Crores. Collection reports from UAE and Malaysia are yet to be received.
