Tamil Cinema Loses Another Veteran Director

Chennai: Veteran Director K.S.Gopalakrishnan, 86 years old has died day before yesterday at a Private hospital in Chennai due to old age ailments.

Veteran Director K.S.Gopalakrishnan who is 86 years old has passed away day before yesterday. The veteran director was battling for his life at a Private hospital in Chennai. He took his last breath day before yesterday. Doctors confessed he has passed away due to old age ailments.

He is often known for directing social and devotional theme movies. Also his movies will praise women. He is fondly called as ‘Woman-centric’ director. His son KSG Venkatesh is acting in TV serials and he forayed into silver screen with the movie ‘Sathuranga Vettai’.

He also acted earlier along with Prashanth in the movie ‘Aasayil Oru Kaditham’. According to reliable sources the director has directed more than 75 movies in his whole career.

‘Saradha’, ‘Karpagam’, Kai Kodutha Deivam’, ‘Chithi’, ‘Panama Pasama’ and ‘Kurathi Magan’ are few of his notable works. Apart from being a director he is also a talented lyric writer. Legendary writer Vaali has given him the chance to write lyrics for the song ‘Karpagam’ when Kannadasan was at the peak. We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
