Tata Motors introducing a new segment Tata Tiago hatchback in India on April 6, 2016. The car will be positioned below the Bolt in the company’s model line-up. Tata Motors has started accepting bookings for the Tiago hatchback at Rs 10,000.
Tata Motors introducing new Tata Tiago hatchback
As per source, Tata Tiago prices to start at around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) with the top variant for Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This car will come in both petrol and diesel variants. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car measures 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width and 1,535 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm.
This car is available with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm and a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm. A five-speed manual is the only transmission option but a Tiago automatic is in the pipeline.
Competition:
Tata Tiago will compete against the likes of Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Mahindra KUV100, Nissan Micra and Honda Brio, in India.
