Tata Tiago has set the record of the highest sales for the company after the introduction. Nearly 3,022 units had been sold for April month.
The Tata Tiago was launched in the hatchback segment on April 6th. Since the launch the model Tiago received over 100,000 enquiries. Tata has sold 3,022 units of the Tiago, making the model as the best selling product for the company. The price ranges between Rs. 3.20 to 4.75 lakhs for petrol versions and Rs. 3.94 to 5.54 lakhs for diesel versions at ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The Tata Tiago with new engines . The petrol engine is available with an all-new 1.2-liter three-cylinder aluminium Revotron engine whereas the diesel variant is 1.05-liter three-cylinder Revotorq engine. Both engines are available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. AMT is expected to be introduced later.
Sales of other Tata vehicle products are as follows – Tata Nano (1,100), Tata Bolt (290), Tata Indica+Vista (1,694), Tata Zest (1,419), Tata Indigo+Manza (1,581), Tata Sumo (814), Tata Safari+Storme (539), Tata Aria (0).
Though the Indian motor manufacturer has set a high price in its segment, the model has received a positive response and in fact an encouraging response from the buyers. this resulted in the growth of sales by 2.2 percent for the month of April 2016 when compared to its last year’s same time growth.
Tata’s Vice President for Sales and Network, SN Barman, has indicated that the prices of the Tata Tiago may likely to be increased soon and the existing prices are just the introductory prices.
