Andhra Pradesh, May 22: AP EAMCET 2015 results declared, 7 out of 10 toppers are from Telangana State. On behalf of APSCHE, JNTU Kakinada conducted and for the first time, boys topped entrance exam.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Kakinada conducted AP EAMCET exam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The Results for Engineering Agriculture Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) was declared at official website apeamcet.org.
A total of 2, 83,477 candidates applied for EAMCET 2015 examination. Out of this, only 2, 07,473 students were qualified for engineering stream. This year, boys dominated results, taking the top eight spots in both engineering and medical streams. Both boys who topped the engineering and medical streams are from Hyderabad city only.
Sri Chaitanya students created a record as they got state first rank in both Medical and Engineering exams. 9 ranks out of the top 10 in medical and 7 out of the top 10 in the engineering stream were secured by Sri Chaitanya students only. Chinta Nitish Chandra of Madhapur came first in engineering, scoring 149 marks out of 156.
Vijay Ketan Reddy from Dilsukhnagar was the topper in medical who scored 155 out of 159 marks. The examination is conducted for 160 marks, out of this marks, four questions in engineering and one question in medical were deleted due to ‘errors’.
As per latest news, 13,844 students who qualified in EAMCET engineering have failed in the Intermediate exams and become ineligible for admission in to BE/B.Tech courses. Thus, there are only 1, 93,629 students available for 3, 21,000 seats throughout the state.
Another 15,000 seats are expected to be added by AICTE before the EAMCET admissions counseling begins. As per reports, EAMCET counseling begins from June 5, 2015 and classes from first week of July.
