Hyderabad: TS govt has paid rich tributes to former president APJ Abdul Kalam on the monsoon session of Telangana Legislature and proposed a request to rename Defence Research and Development Laboratory DRDL after Kalam.
On the first day of the monsoon session at the Telangana Legislature on Wednesday leaders from various political parties paid rich tributes to former president APJ Abul Kalam. Including Chief Minister, every one recalled the services of Kalam and said the Missile man Kalam services would be remembered for a long time and he serve as inspiration for the young generations.
Former President APJ Abul Kalam who is well known as people’s president was died on 27th July, 2015 while taking a lecture at the IIM Shillong. Everyone in the country paid rich tributes missile man, while the Telangana state Hon’ble chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao proposed a request to the Centre to rename the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) Hyderabad after former President APJ Adbul Kalam.
Leaders from the various political parties supported it and also paid rich tributes to Missile Man. Kalam spent had spent over a decade in the Defence Research and Development Organization DRDO and also worked as director of Research Centre Imarat (RCI).
Government of Telangana had already written a letter to central government, Chief Minister of TS state has reminded once again at the monsoon session at the Telangana Legislature. YSRCP leader P Venkateshwaralu has also asked the state government to consider naming Hyderabad Metro rail project after APJ Abul Kalam.
