Telangana, May 7: Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao allocated Rs. 15.17 crore to 7 foremost government hospitals in Telangana and to upgrade the infrastructure facilities in all government hospitals across Hyderabad.
The state government has sanctioned required funds for construction of patient attendant amenities in all government hospitals of Hyderabad as per the long demand. These funds are particularly spent towards construction of other facilities for patients and their helpers.
Telangana Govt has directed the authorities of Telangana State Medical and Infrastructure Development Council (TSMIDC) and also the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to construct accommodation sheds with all facilities and comforts for all patients and their attendants.
As per medical health and family welfare, this project was first introduced by GHMC, but it was delayed due to non-availability of land. But recently, TSMIDC and director of medical health department has asked top 7 leading hospitals in Hyderabad to provide land and hand over area for construction works to begin.
Earlier, state government failed to provide minimum facilities to thousands of patients who are visiting top leading hospitals such as Maternity, Gandhi, NIMS, Niloufer, Osmania and ENT hospitals every day. By realizing this, state government sanctioned funds to construct proper facilities and accommodation sheds to all patients and their followers.
Dr. Putta Srinivas, director of Medical and Health Department of Telangana state has informed all the heads of top leading hospitals to hand over the available land. With this, it is expected that patients will be treated at leading hospitals with all proper facilities and comforts soon in the state.
