SI Selection Procedure/Scheme:
- Preliminary Written Test
- Physical Measurements Test (PMT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Final Written Examination
TS SI Preliminary Written Test Syllabus 2016
Preliminary Written Examination consists of (200 Questions) (200 Marks). It consists two sections,
- Arithmetic & Test Of Reasoning / Mental Ability (Objective Type) (100 Questions) and
- General Studies -100 questions.
Telangana SI Syllabus 2016 for Final Written Examination
Final Written Examination consists of 4 papers (each of three hours duration) as given below.
PAPER I: Arithmetic & Test Of Reasoning / Mental Ability (Objective Type) (200 Questions).
Arithmetic: Questions gave from ratio & proportion, average, percentage, number system, simple interest, compound interest, profit & loss, time & work, work & wages, time & distance, clocks & calendars, partnership, menstruation.
Test Of Reasoning / Mental Ability: In this the question will be asked of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, spatial orientation, problem-solving, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc
PAPER II: General Studies (Objective Type) (200 Questions): This section consists of,
Current events of national and international importance, History of India, Geography of India, Indian Polity and Economy, Telangana Movement and State Formation, Personality test and General Science.
PAPER III: English (Descriptive Type)
This section is included to test how the candidate understands the English language. Questions on short essay, writing, paragraph writing / report writing, comprehension, précis, letter, translation from English to Telugu etc. will be given.
PAPER IV: (Descriptive Type):
In this paper, the candidates can choose to have one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu. You have to indicate the choice as and when asked for by the recruiting authority.
Telugu and Urdu: This section is given to test candidates Telugu and Urdu language, its correct usage and their writing ability. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from Telugu to English etc. would be included.
