Veteran and Popular Telugu Singer V Ramakrishna Died at 68

Hyderabad: V Ramakrishna, who is a well known single in Telugu film industry died after a long battle with cancer. His achievements and contribution will be remembered for ever.

Well Known veteran and popular singer Rama Krishna who lent his voice to many songs in different languages has passed away on Thursday in Hyderabad. He is suffering with Cancer for a year and he undergo treatment for couple of years. Unfortunately he was died on Thursday.

Ramakrishna was 68 years old and born in Vizianagaram in 1947. He is very famous about his songs and as per reports; he sang 5,000 songs in 200 Telugu Films along with few private and Devotional Albums. Rama Krishna’s son Sai Kiran is known as Actor in few Telugu Films and he also related to Famous Singer P. Susheela.

Ramakrishna started his career in All India radio with a popular program known as Yuvarani. With the support of his aunt legendary singer P. Susheela he was entered into playback singing.

Telugu Industry and some biggies expressed deep condolences to him and his family and mentioned that Industry lost big Singer. Rama Krishna sang many song sand big hits to Veteran actors, NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Super Star Krishna and Shobhan Babu. Some of the film personalities shocked about his death and conveyed their sympathies to his family.

Ramakrishna Debuting in Telugu Films as play back singer in Film Vichitra Bandham which was released in 1972. He also sang so many hit songs in films like Alluri Seetharamataju, Mutyala Muggu, DanaVeera Sura Karna, Bhakta Kannappa, Thatha Manavadu etc.

His Son Sai Kiran has expressed his sorrow and said that “I am very luck being his son”. He also mentioned that his last burials will be performed at Punjagutta Smasana Vatika at 5 PM.
