Chennai: Kollywood star Raghavendra Lawrence has donated a complete amount of 1 crore which is highest among all other stars to the Chennai flood victims.
Tamil Nadu was affected by floods and situations are very critical from past couple of days. Many areas are still under water and people are struggling for daily works. The MET department has said that the city hasn’t received such a heavy downpour in the past 100 years.
Many charitable trusts and popular cine heroes from Kollywood, Tollywood has given lakhs of amount as donations for Chennai victims. Leading actors from the Telugu film industry like Mahesh, Allu Arjun, NTR, Kalyan Ram, Ravi teja, Varun Tej and Sampoornesh Babu has already donated amount and contributed towards CM relief fund.
However, one man who once again stood as a solid inspiration by donating Rs 1 crore to the flood affected people in Chennai. Guess who is he? He is none other than Choreographer cum director Raghavendra Lawrence. He donated 1 crore rupees and his donation is the highest among all other stars, with major donations coming from stars like Suriya and Allu Arjun (25 lakhs each), Rajinikanth, Vishal, Mahesh Babu and NTR (10 lakhs each).
In August, Lawrence donated Rs 1 crore in the name of late President Abdul Kalam through his Lawrence Charitable Trust towards children education with a dream of seeing at least 1000 visionaries line Abdul Kalam. Hats off, Lawrence! Every time he is standing first to respond on social issues and showed his great heart towards society.
