The West Bengal Assembly Elections 2016 results has made AITMC party’s Mamata Banerjee as the Cheif Minister for the consecutive second time.

Putting an end to the 34 years regime of the Communist parties, Mamata Banerjee has gained the power in West Bengal for the first time in the year 2011 Assembly Elections. The West Bengal Assembly Elections 2016 was conducted after the successful completion of the tenure of 5 years. The public has appreciated the ruling and in turn, they have given the verdict through ballet in her ruling.

West Bengal Assembly Elections 2016 were held for a total of 294 assembly seats in the state. 148 seats are needed for a majority and to form a government. The AITMC has secured 217 seats and stood as the single largest party. The people of West Bengal can witness Mamata Banerjee swearing as the Cheif Minister for the second time.

This can be said as a major blow for all the parties including BJP. The Prime Minister of India has campaigned against TMC during the elections time. But nothing worked for any party. The Left parties are deteriorating more as the Congress has secured the second position in the assembly. The  West Bengal Assembly Elections 2016 results have a clear mandatory given by the people for forming the stable government in the state. Though before the elections some surveys has mentioned that there might be a tough time for the Mamata government, the voters has not chosen that path.
