Smartron, Hyderabad city-based technology firm has launched its new smart mobile phone named as ‘tphone’.
The Smartron is planning to its expand its business base with this smartphone launch. This will be the second product from the company after the laptop computer. Recently the company has introduced the laptop in the Indian electronic market. The laptop is named as ‘tbook’. Now the company is once again coming up with smart phone with a lot of features. The root of the products come from the technological ecosystem, ‘tronx’. Cricket God and legendary sports personality Sachin Tendulkar is the strategic shareholder cum brand ambassador of Smartron. On Thursday, the Telangana State Information Technology Minister Mr K.T. Rama Rao along with Sachin Tendulkar has unveiled the start mobile phone.

Founder and Chairman of Smartron, Mahesh Linga Reddy has stated that the smart gadget is engineered and designed completely in India. The concept of Make in India is fully implemented from now. The company is planning to shift the manufacturing process to India. On this regard, the company is in talks with the Foxconn company. At present, around 10,000 smartphone devices are being manufactured outside India. Mr Reddy also revealed the company plans to launch the smartphone in the Middle East, Russia and South East Asia countries.
Sachin Tendulkar, speaking on the occasion told the reporters that “smartphones have made life easier by increasing accessibility of people constantly on the move. Phones are controlling the life and homes, seems unreal, though it is becoming a reality. Being the Skill India campaigner, I welcome the product which is totally engineered and designed in India.”
Mr. K T Rama Rao assured his support to the company and expressed hope that more globally competitive products will emerge from Hyderabad.
