TS EAMCET Counselling 2015 | Seats are Way Less than Qualified Students

Telangana, June 30: As per reports, number of seats available for TS EAMCET counselling 2015 are too much less when compared to students who qualified engineering entrance exam this year.

The number engineering seats in Telangana state has come down drastically than the number of qualified candidates in entrance examination, after denied affiliation to 25 colleges which has poor infrastructure and insufficient faculty.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad has announced the number of available seats details across state and counselling date’s details on Monday night. For this academic year only 86,195 seats are available for admission purpose in all private, government and university level out of these JNTUH granted for 76,635 seats in private colleges.

Shailaja Ramaiyer, in-charge Vice Chancellor of the university, said that there are total 290 engineering colleges in University level, among these only 245 colleges applied for affiliation out of which 220 retained recognition and 25 colleges are removed from the admission process due to poor infrastructure and insufficient faculty. The university officials will soon upload the list of affiliated colleges and available course details at official website.

For this academic year around 90, 556 students have qualified in entrance examination, and counselling process for qualified candidates will begin from 6th July2015. University is also decided to set up a quality cell to maintain records of the colleges and their infrastructure. For the first time university has decided to rate the affiliated colleges based on their facilities and quality faculty.

JNTUH will soon upload the affiliate college details with ranking at main site, so that parents and students can take right decision while choosing the web options.
