Hyderabad, June 22: Ministry of External Affairs conferred Palepogu Udaya Lakshmi with Best Granting Officer Award 2015. She is the Superintendent of Hyderabad Regional Passport Office.
A senior official and Superintendent of Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad Palepogu Udaya Lakshmi has been chosen for the “Best Granting Officer” award. The award will be given by the Union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj at Passport Diwas which is scheduled to be held on 25th June, 2015. Ministry of External Affairs observed the Passport Diwas on 25th June every year to celebrate the enactment of Passport Act in 1967.
MEA has newly announced the awards for 2014-15, a senior official Regional Passport office, Hyderabad Udaya Lakshmi has been chosen for this honour for her outstanding performance in processing 78, 781 passport applications and granting 76,857 passports and 1, 924 police clearance certificates (PCCs) in 2014-15.
According to Passport office officials, she is the first official who honoured with this award and she recreated new record in the country. Ashwini Sattaru, Hyderabad Regional Passport officer and other officials congratulated her on winning award.
The official Udaya Lakshmi worked at Vijayawada and Begumpet passport seva kendras (PSKs) in 2014.
