Chennai: Uppu Karuvadu movie starring Karunakaran and Nandita Swetha in lead roles, directed by Radha Mohan had cleared its first acid test.
Director Radha Mohan is one of the reputed directors in Tamil Cinema. He started his career as a director in 2004 and so far he has directed only 7 movies. The director was last seen in 2013 with the movie ‘Gauravam’. The movie had ‘Fair & Lovely’ advertisement fame Yami Gautam in lead role.
The director is back after two years and he has directed the movie ‘Uppu Karuvadu’. Comedian Karunakaran and ‘Attakathi’ fame Nandita Swetha are doing the lead roles. The supporting cast includes actors like M.S. Bhaskar, Mayilswamy, Saams, Kumaravel, Narayan and Senthil.
Mahesh Muthusamy handles cinematography. This project is bank-rolled as a joint venture by Ramjee Narasiman of First Copy Pictures and Radha Mohan’s Night Show Pictures. The movie’s distribution rights was recently bagged by Escape Artists Motion Pictures Madhan.
The movie was wrapped up by month of July and the post production works took place for next few months. The movie was completely ready and the makers took it to censors before starting the promotions. The censor board officials who watched the movie granted the movie a clean ‘U’ certificate with no cuts. The makers are happy with the clean certificate and the released date will be announced soon.
