Union Public Service Commission UPSC has announced the official notification of Central Armed Police Forces CAPF examination, which is conducted to select dedicated and eligible aspirants for the positions of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the forces comprising of the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
UPSC has scheduled the examination on 26th June 2016. Candidates can get their e-admission certificate in three weeks before the commencement of the examination, which will be available on official website of UPSC, www.upsc.gov.in. UPSC will not send the admission certificate through the post; candidates can download it from the official site.
UPSC CAPF Examination pattern
UPSC CAPF exam will have two papers, paper 1 will be held from 10 AM to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.
UPSC CAPF Paper 1
The examination will be conducted for 250 marks from the questions of General Ability and Intelligence. It includes multiple options to answer and the questions will be asked in two languages Hindi as well as English.
UPSC CAPF Paper 2
UPSC CAPF Paper 2 will have questions from General Studies, Essay and Comprehension for total 200 marks. It will have precise writing, comprehension components and other and candidates will be allowed write it in Hindi or English. There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in objective type section.
Candidates who qualified in written examination will be called for physical standards/ physical efficiency tests and medical standards tests. And the aspirants who qualified in physical standards will be eligible for final interview/personality test. The final selection will be done on the basis of a merit list.
