New York: The President of the United States of America declared in his address to the nation today that he brought changes to the gun laws in the country after wide spread problem. Lack of good gun laws have claimed more than 100,000 people since a decade. He brought changes to the laws by ruling that new guns will be bought by people only after thorough checks.

Gun related incidents has killed more people than terrorism did in the United States. The presidential address also allocated USD 500 million for treating mental related problems. However critics have told media that the President has gone above his constitutional powers. They claim that this is only to satisfy a few set of people and granting money for mental related problems will not solve the problem. The president claimed that he is within his given powers and has every right to protect the US citizen. He also told in his address that most Americans and gun owners agree to this rule.

Adam Lanza who killed people while indiscriminately firing at them was diagnosed with mental disorder. His parents have kept a weapon at home and his mother did not give him treatment though he was prescribed by a doctor with medicines. Many other shooters too had mental problems but they still had a weapon.

Though gun control laws have been bitterly contested, this issue will be a very important thing for Americans to discuss upon and come to a conclusion with a solution so that any lives can be saved.
