Mumbai, July 2: Viacom18 network declared two new English General Entertainment channels Colors Infinity and Colors Infinity HD that will be accessible through DTH and digital cable platforms.

Television broadcaster Viacom 18 is now offering two English general entertainment channels named as Colors Infinity in standard definition and Colors Infinity in high definition as like other major television networks in the Country Zee and Star. The two channels will go on air by the end of this month.

These two channels will be accessible across DTH and digital cables and will be co-curated by actor, producer, director Karan Johar and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who are passionate about international content. The network has signed multi year deals with Warner Bros, Twentieth Century Fox, NBC Universal, International Television Distribution, Sony Pictures Television, Lionsgate, MGM, BBC and Endemol Shine amongst others, in terms of achievement for the Indian market.

No shows have been announced, but the network says that, there will be a range of genres including reality, superheroes, crime, comedy, drama, fantasy, and thrillers.

Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO of Viacom 18 has said that “The [English-language] market is widening its appeal across viewers who think and speak in English, but haven’t been invited to consume international entertainment yet. Colors Infinity aims to speak to this larger audience, which goes beyond the metros”.

The network will launch the two channels by the end of this month and information regarding programme schedules along with marketing strategy will be announced soon.
