Vijay TV changes plans for ‘Ilayaraja 1000’

Chennai: Vijay TV is going to conduct a special Ilayaraja 1000 event to honour the composer. Initially, they organized the program at Nehru Indoor stadium. Now the event will take place at YMCA ground.

Illayaraja is an Indian Music composer, lyricist, playback singer and music director who works predominantly in South Indian Film industries. Recently he completed the milestone of 1000 movies and now Ilayaraja 1000 event will be planned by Vijay TV channel in a grand manner. He has composed a maximum number of songs for Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

His 1000th movie is Tharai Thappattai and it was directed by Bala. The movie featured Sasikumar and Varalaxmi in predominant roles. His 999th flick was Bollywood movie Shamitaab. Director Balki decided to have a grand audio launch and he honoured him too.

In this case, Bala who earlier planned a grand Audio launch was stopped as whole Chennai was drenched in flood waters. Now Star Vijay TV has come forward to conduct Ilayaraja 1000 event to honour the composer. Initially, they organized the program at Nehru Indoor stadium.

But now they have changed the location. The event will take place at YMCA ground. Also, there were lots of changes from the host to other timings. This change of plans has sparked lots of speculations. The event will take place on 27th of this month.
