Chennai: Vijay upcoming 59th Tamil movie story has taken with the inspiration of Vijayakanth’s 1990 Sathriyan super hit film that broke records at that time.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 59th film will be directed by Atlee and sources closed to the actor said that, it will be remake of 1990 film. Famous actor Vijayakanth’s super hit film Sathriyan (Kshatriyan) is the inspiration behind to take up this project.

Assuring that, Atlee will rewrite the story suitable to Vijay and design the film like his previous movie Raja Rani which is also based on storyline of Mani Ratnam’s Mouna Raagam. The makers have confirmed this news and Vijay will be once gain seen as a cop.

According to latest updates, J Mahendran will certainly be playing the villain role in this movie and one veteran and famous director would be roped for a key role in this film. In old movie, Vijayakanth, Bhanupriya and Revathi in lead roles and for Vijay’s film, Samantha and Amy Jackson will play prominent characters.

However it looks like Mullum Malarum filmmaker will be seen as unusual villain who uses his brain more than his strength to bring down his enemy by playing a psychological game. There are lot of similarities in between Vijay 59 and Vijayakanth’s Sathriyan. The complete details will be out very shortly.
