Chennai: Dhanush’s upcoming movie Visaranai premiere will held at Venice International Film Festival in which this is the first Tamil movie that has premiere at upcoming 72nd Venice International Film Festival.

Dhanush’s movie ‘Visaranai’ premiere to be held at Venice International Film Festival. This is the first Tamil movie which will be organized premiere at upcoming 72nd Venice International Film Festival that is an experimental thriller film yet to be released.

The movie story is based on a novel called Lock-up which is directed by Vetrimaaran of “Polladhavan” fame. The novel is a personal account of police brutality and oppression and is written by Coimbatore based auto driver Chandran.

In the Novel, Chandran mentioned that, he and two of his friends were arrested and supposedly tortured for 13 days and left off. In this book, it had mentioned that how poor people face police murders.

The film “Visaranai” is the second film for actor as a producer to get International recognition after “Kaaka Muttai”. The film includes stars like Attakathi Dinesh, Anandhi and Aadukalam Murugadoss in main roles.

Actor Dhanush tweeted about this on twitter that, “Visaranai to be held its premier at 72nd Venice International film festival in Orizzonti competitive category. This is the first Tamil film to enter into a competitive category”.

The 72nd Venice Film Festival is scheduled to run from 2nd September to 12th September 2015.
