Hyderabad, June 25: Most popular and famous, Salar Jung Museum is to get free Wi-Fi in the city. And it ranked as first museum in India to get such facility of internet services in the country.

Wi-Fi is going around the country in which Hyderabad city is playing its best role for providing best internet services to tourists and pilgrims. Out of minds, Salar Jung is the first museum to uses non-conventional energy for its power which happened by installing rooftop solar plant. And now, the management team made it possible to reach one more destination as first museum in the country to get Wi-Fi enabled.

If whole place is taken into consideration, all the three blocks of Salar Jung museum will be enabled with Wi-Fi by next month and all people can access it with high speed. An eye-catching thing is that the three blocks, central, eastern and western consists of 38 galleries by which, local, national and international tourists can get amusement and a grip on historical items.

Project tenders for Wi-Fi enabling has been accepted by the authorities for two floors. The area that is allowed by visitors will get Wi-Fi and remaining is left as it is. As per the statement from officials, all this info has been derived. M.Veerender, Deputy Curator said, “Few issues are to be addressed and after re-tendering, we expect the facility to be in place before July end. To start with, the indoor Wi-Fi hotspot would cater to the first two floors and we will consider spreading it to the library area at a later stage”.

There are completely four floors including ground. Officials said that Wi-Fi is enabled to only ground and first floors and not for second and third as they are for houses library and office space respectively. Taking all security issues into consideration, all arrangements are made with 50% of power needs.
