A recent research published by University of Adelaide suggests Spanish is one the most positive languages along with Portuguese. This is an innovative study report taking account words that are used in 10 different languages. Its shows how these languages are optimistic when it comes to looking inside our life and surrounding.

Lewis Mitchell, co-author and mathematician in the University of Adelaide reported that “The differences are felt in particular with words like LOVE that were more positive in French than they were in English. The way we think, the way that we form our ideas is inherently, intrinsically positive.”

Entitled “Hedonometer Project”, it’s just an attempt to analyze the amount of happiness among people while they are in a real time communication. This can be affected by a cluster of phenomenon and to draw-out a perfect conclusion, the project took 5 million people into account.

In his statement, Mitchell added, “We just don’t have as many ways of putting together negative thoughts or negative ideas as we do have for positive ones.”

This is How Hedonometer Project Worked

Hedonometer Project worked in a firm approach by taking sets of content from various social media like Facebook, Twitter and Google Books. Apart from these, they also consider some movie clips and scripts in various languages.

After a complete analysis, the team accumulated 10,000 most use words for every single language and ranks them in a scale of 1 to 9. It’s of no use to say that the scale is based upon extremely negative towards positive.
