‘Yennai Arindhaal’ is a new Tamil drama and thriller movie written and directed by the famous Gautham Menon under the production of A M Rathnam. The cast of the film are Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Arun Vijay, Parvathy Nair and Vivek. The music of the film was composed by Harris Jayaraj. Film’s story elongates the journey of man named Sathyadev, from the age of 13 till the age of 38. It is also the termination of the director’s cop trilogy that started with ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ in 2003 and continued with ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ in 2006. The movie was released on 5th of February 2015.

Storyline

Ajith as Sathyadev in the movie is a cop that every normal man would want to see, a guy everyone wants to be with, a hazard to those who map things against the law. In the existence of boundaries of the film he’s protecting Anushka from the dictators of the appendage operate. Meanwhile an important episode in his life reveals the romantic dream between the hardcore cop and the ever pretty Trisha. Trisha has a really cool name, Hemanika. The name’s a direct hit. Her character, likewise, is appealing.

Just when Sathyadev’s squad is about to fire down a goon, Sathya receives a text message from Hemanika, the sturdy cop has a smile on his face now. The guns go back to their places. This will continue survives. Love does strange things to people and to Sathya, as well.

Action scenes, mainly the hand-to-hand combat or knife fight bring out a definite sense of evident anger from Ajith and Arun Vijay. Points to the makers here, they are sensible, if they were over the top, they would have taken a discarded turn. The knife fight also reminds us of Cheran in ‘Yuddham Sei’. Three swift motions and the adversary are on the ground asking for water.

Harris Jayaraj and Thamarai are partners for this superb music album. ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ is the huge combination of both Harris and Gautham, obviously, the result is good, even though it looks like they are not separated at all. Gautham’s dialogues are to the point, remembering the old jokes. Slight humour gave the scenes to go on very well.
