Mumbai, May 22: A Multi National jewelry exports company of Mumbai, Hari Krishna Export Pvt Ltd rejected job application of Zeshan Ali Khan because of his cast, Muslim.

As per reports, Zeshan Ali khan, is a Muslim and completed his MBA. He was looking for a job and sent an application to a Mumbai based diamond exports company, Hari Krishna Export Pvt Ltd on Tuesday along with his two friends. But in 15 minutes only, he got reply email from the company that he is rejected because of his religion.

The company sent reply email that, “We regret to inform you that we hire only non-Muslim candidates” and his two friends Mukund Mani and Omkar Bansode were called for next round interviews the very next day. Zeshan was shocked with this response, took a screen shot of that email reply of company and posted it on social media.

Activists and legal experts say that, the company should be punished and Naseem Ahmed, who is the chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, said that “We received complaint against the company, if it is true we will immediately take an action against this”.

In a response, Mahendra S. Deshmukh, Associate VP & Head-HR of the company said that, “We don’t separate the candidates based on religion, gender, caste etc. If anyone hurt with this matter we are very sorry for that”. Zeshan is planning to file a case against the company for rejecting eligible candidates based on religion.
