The theme of time travel is different from the routine scripts. Suriya has performed in triple roles for the film with five different appearances. One of the roles being that of an antagonist. Characters played by Samantha and Nithya in the film are also contrasting nature though both play love interest opposite Suriya. The 24 movie is based on one thing that humans cannot control time, but what if someone has the power to do so. The negative shade role performed by Surya is very much appreciable. Other two roles are Scientist and a common man played by Surya. Athreya is one of the prominent roles in the movie. The Scientist character name is Athreya.
