Hyderabad: Three youth from Hyderabad city in Telangana where caught by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad and Telangana State Police after they were suspected join Islamic State in Iraq and Syria from Nagpur Airport trying to leave the country.

The three youth aged between 20 and 24 were handed over to Telangana Special Police after a joint operation with Maharashtra ATS. “We got information that the youth would be boarding the early morning flight to Srinagar. The youth, who came to Nagpur by cab, were handed over to the Telangana Special Police Force cell.”

Indian Police forces till date has prevented many youths from joining the ISIS. More than 40 people have been stopped at various airports and arrested for having links with ISIS.

The 3 youth who were caught in Nagpur were about to board a plane to Srinagar from where they will run into Pakistan to get trained.

Last week a 16-year-old girl from Hyderabad was caught having links with ISIS through another person based in Mumbai. There are more than 20 odd Indian people currently with ISIS. Sources claim 3-4 have been killed while the rest are actively fighting. Few of them as operating from Pakistan too.
