Mumbai: Three Mumbai youth have been suspected to have joined ISIS, the dreaded Islamic State Terrorist Organization. However, no confirmed reports have been tabled till now. The Mumbai Police has suspected that they might have been radicalized in India over The internet and have secretly left Mumbai to Syria to join ISIS.

The 3 youth are Ayaz Sultan (23), Mohsin Sheikh (26) and Wajid Sheikh (25), all residents of Malvani area in the western suburb of Mumbai. All these youth were missing from home since Dec 16. Mohsin told his parents that he is leaving to attend a friend’s wedding while Wajid told he was going out to get his Aadhar Card corrected. Sultan left home and told his parents that he will be joining a company in Pune.

The police have tried to hack into the emails of the 3 youth but were unable to do so. “We suspect that the three joined the IS and our probe is on to identify this,” Malvani police station inspector Milind Khetle said.

The parents of the suspected youth have lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police to trace their children. The police believe that they were radicalized to join ISIS in Syria. The three youth were in touch all the time as they were residing in the same area.
