Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalized the Indian cricket team and picked up new players Binny, Patel and Jadeja for the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup match.

On Tuesday BCCI has announced the most awaited World Cup and ODI Tri-series Indian cricket team and players list. The list of 15 member squad chosen to defend World Cup title to be held in Australia and New Zealand starting from next month.

All rounders Stuart Binny, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja are included for World Cup 2015. These are the new players into the team. In these 15-Squads they segregated into 7 batsmen (including Dhoni), 5 seamers and 3 spinners make the squad. Among them, Binny, Axar Patel a handy batsman/left-arm spinner and Ravindra Jadeja as all-rounders while, Ambati Rayudu as back up keeper.

In Australia tour Jadeja’s shoulder injury has raised a query over his availability. In case if he fails to recover from wound could replace another player in his position, but finally received a favourable report from BCCI.

“Jadeja at present is undergoing rehabilitation programme. He is doing wonderfully well. We had detailed discussion with BCCI physio (on his inclusion) and we are confident that he will return to training within 10 days,” Patel said on Jadeja’s fitness. “We had a detailed discussion today with the BCCI physio and we are quite hopeful he will be match-fit within the next ten days.”

The selectors considered Binny to be a better all round option than Aaron. Because of his versatility, he was preferred over Varun Aaron (fast bowler).

Axar Patel (20-year-old) has played good in last few series and made a reasonably good impression in the few ODIs. Eventually Patel was expected for picking up in the Indian squad. However Patel uttered Yuvraj’s name was deliberated upon but they decided against selecting him.

“Not only Yuvraj Singh but other names were also discussed apart from the 30 probables. There were deliberations between five selectors and captain Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher were on the conference call,” Patel said.

MS Dhoni will the team captain and wicketkeeper, whereas Virat Kohli will be his deputy (Vice-president). BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel mentioned that there is no place for Yuvraj Singh’s was discussed his name in the meeting along with several other players.

The Board secretary, however, assured that the fast bowler will recover fully in a few days. “He (Ishant) has a temporary injury but he’s doing well. But he has been advised by the team physio not to play the ongoing Test. He will be fit for the tri-series,” Patel added.
