New Images by NASA’s Dawn Probe reveal bright spot of the dwarf planet Ceres. Discovered in the year 1801, Ceres is the largest body that is situated in the asteroid belt in between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
A scientist at NASA said that after many years of preparation with lot of researches, it is going to know much more about an asteroid which is basically the largest body that is situated in the asteroid belt in between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. This is not yet visited by any spacecraft.
In a report, the engineer Marc Rayman told by exploring about 600 miles wide Ceres they are travelling in this vast journey to let out the amazing details and the truths about a giant world which is filled with ice and rock. They said that in the place, there may be some amount of water as per assumes about the environment including ponds or lakes or even oceans. The assumption is because of the vapour that is coming out of the body. So, they suggested that there might be the presence of water.
The Ceres has been termed as a Dwarf planet which is like Pluto which always remains as a question mark for the future generation.
On this July 14th, the new Horizons spacecraft will be closest which is already in its way to the Pluto. The scientist there said, “If the asteroid were New York, we could count the ponds in Central Park.” This will help the experts to answer any type of questions asked like why the Pluto has turned into a redder in the topical years even though it has the rings around it.
The reports said, “As for Ceres, which has been familiar to scientists since 1801, the Dawn spacecraft could reveal more about a mysterious light spot on the dwarf planet. It could be ice that’s reflecting sunlight from a crater.” And they said that the hints and presence of water will give the sense of life possibility there.
