Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan who spoke to press said, “The new season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will speak about the topic of ‘Water crisis’ in Maharashtra and other states.

Actor Aamir Khan who is currently working on ‘Dangal’ is ready to host the next season of his popular Television show ‘Satyamev Jayate’. This will focus on social issues and will have a full episode on ‘Water Crisis’ in Maharashtra and surrounding areas.

Aamir Khan who spoke to press said, “The new season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will speak about the topic of ‘Water crisis’ in Maharashtra and other states. The response to Satyamev Jayate was so strong that we felt we will take one more step ahead and focus on one topic.

We decided to work on water and Maharashtra. Water is an essential thing for survival and as Maharashtra is my birth place, we have decided to focus more on that area. I feel we need to respect water. Water will also respect us in return.” A competition has been organized between villages which will invilve water conservation activities.

The prize money for this is Rs.50 Lakhs. The contest will take place between April 15th and May 31st. Aamir and Kiran Rao’s NGO Paani Foundation along with Maharashtra Government will work towards solving water crisis in the state.
