India: A 7.9 Magnitude quake hit Nepal for which some of the places in Northern & Eastern India got massive tremors that lasted for a minute due to earthquake in India.

Massive earthquake brought a widespread damage in Nepal and it is reported as a magnitude of 7.9 on Richter scale. Including Nepal, eastern and western parts of India also effected with this.

JL Gautam, the Head Operations Seismology of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that some of the cities in eastern, northern part of India also got affected by this. It is recorded for magnitude 7.9 at 11.41 AM today between latitude 28.1 North and Longitude 84.6 East.

In a statement from IMD, the epicenter was located in Lamgunj, Nepal and got huge damage in construction where no damage in Delhi where people ran from their buildings out to save their lives. Officials are working out to reach the affected in Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu.

It is said that first series of earthquake hit Nepal and second series went with the Northern part of India that includes places like Bihar, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh and other cities in the list around at 12:20 PM.

Major affects from 7.9 Magnitude Nepal Earthquake is that Hindu famed temple BhimaSena Shikhara collapsed and 500 people around the place died.
