New Delhi: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or popularly known as BSNL is going to commence free and unlimited night calling service scheme for all its landline users. According to officials, this scheme will be effective from 1st May onwards.

Prime reason behind this scheme is to cope with TRAI last year data. According to it, BSNL is the biggest loser of fixed-line customers. Though it’s still ruling market with 62.26% share, it lost 162,556 landline customers in the month of February itself.

In an announced statement, BSNL stated that this newly launched free night calling scheme is exclusively for landline. Users can make outgoing call to any other operator including mobile phones. Outgoing call area will be anywhere inside India in between 9 PM to 7 Am.

In his statement, Anupam Shrivastava focused on the initiative towards BSNL landline business renovation. There is no fixed end date for this scheme and after a period of six month, the entire process will be verified again.

Shrivastava said that, “We are modernizing our landline business and want to resurrect it. We have our copper cable lines available to support landline traffic and also procured millions of landline instruments to cater to customers’ demand.”

Under this BSNL free night calling scheme, all foremost plans of landline like general, special and combo are included.
