Telangana, May 8: State government has been planning to relocate the Secretariat to 60-acre Bison polo ground at Bolarum. For this on Thursday, state chief minister Mr.KCR has made a proposal with minister of defence Manohar Parrikar.
KCR made a proposal with Parrikar for the sanction of Gymkhana and Bison Polo grounds at Secunderabad to construct Telangana Secretariat building during his two-visit to national capital New Delhi. MP A P Jithender Reddy, who was part of the CM’s delegation, claimed that “defence minister Parrikar agreed for KCR request, and he asked the official to examine the suitability of the alternative land which is offering by the state government”.
As per repots, the state government is looking for 60-acre defence land, and instead of this, it is offering a land parcel near Golconda or Secunderabad Cantonment. KCR requested defence minister for the permission to lay a pipe line project for Godavari drinking water project which passes through the Cantonment area, and the defence minister responded for this positively.
CM also requested the MoD (ministry of defence) for land to plan road widening on a 10km stretch between Jubilee bust station and Alwal which leads to Karimnagar highway, and also wished for 4.5 km stretch between Paradise and Begumpet Air Force Academy that passes through Balanagar. The MoD responded positively and said to his official to look into the possibility.
KCR is also wished for the sanction of Sainik Schools at Warangal and Mahabubnagar, and the MoD is also positively responded for this. CM met Union home minister Rajnath Singh, and requested for funds to modernisation of police system in Telangana state.
On Friday, CM is expected to meet Union urban development minister M V Venkaiah Naidu and commerce minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
