AMD Radeon RX 480 graphic cards are killing the motherboard PCIe slots in some isolated cases. The problem is leading to the motherboard deaths. To overcome this, the company is trying to provide a patch instead of abandoning the product. The Graphics Processing Unit popularly known as GPU in short from AMD has finally made the company to its admit its mistakes.
The cause is discovered as over power consumption that breaks the limit of 90W from the PCIe bus of the motherboard. It is estimated that 150W is being consumed which is resulting in the damage.
AMD announced that a software fix is a patch that can solve the problem of AMD Radeon RX 480. It will be interesting to watch as how the company will react to the issue that was existing for quite a time. The complaints that are raised by the customers regarding the death of their motherboards due to AMD’s Graphic card were first denied by the company. But the acceptance now by the company regarding the damage is a watchful event.
